About the event

GATHER 2025 convenes ASID members and interior design industry professionals in all sectors of the interior design community. The three-day event aims to demonstrate the value of ASID and celebrate its milestone 50th anniversary through high-caliber learning opportunities and experiential networking and community building. The event includes tracks and programming for everyone in the design profession focused on ASID’s anniversary theme “Celebrating 50 years of Interior Design Excellence: Honoring our past, designing the future.”

Holley Henderson

Senior Partnerships Manager, UL Research Institutes’ Chemical Insights

Holley Henderson is the Senior Partnerships Manager for UL Research Institutes’ Chemical Insights. Her background includes decades of providing sustainability consulting and education for the built environment community. A frequent speaker on sustainable design, she has presented for Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, IFMA World Workplace, NeoCon, Greenguard Summit, Hospitality & Design (HD) Conference, CBRE World Conference, the International Convention Center Conference, and numerous professional associations, universities, and corporate audiences. She is also the author of Becoming a Green Building Professional (Wiley).

At Chemical Insights, Holley plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between science and real-world impact by translating complex research into accessible education and outreach. Her work evolved to leading strategic partnerships with organizations across academia, industry, and public health to amplify Chemical Insights’ position as a national thought leader on indoor air quality, the built environment, and emerging health hazards. A standout example is the WildfireHealthRisks.org initiative, where she brought together twelve key partners—collectively reaching more than 400,000 professionals and at-risk communities—to deliver critical, science-based education.

Cristi Bell-Huff, Ph.D

Director of Partnerships and Outreach, UL Research Institutes’ Chemical Insights

Cristi Bell-Huff serves as the Director of Partnerships and Outreach at Chemical Insights Research Institute. She is responsible for driving the institute’s partnership strategy, identifying and cultivating relationships with key organizations to advance research initiatives. Additionally, Bell-Huff ensures the strategic tracking and dissemination of research materials to maximize their visibility and impact.

Bell-Huff previously served as a Lecturer and the Director of Faculty and Student Training in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. She has also been an engineering faculty member at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, an M.A. in Education from the University of Michigan, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
