Corbin Whitwell is the chemical library manager at UL Research Institutes’ Chemical Insights’ Center for Chemical Informatics and Screening, where she will be leading the effort to build our in-house chemical library containing 100s to 1000s of chemicals for high-throughput screening, from chemical procurement to tailored distribution and screening workflow development. She will be instrumental in designing both the physical approach and the information requirements to maintain the provenance of information from chemical identity to bottle to aliquot to sample.
Corbin has grown her extensive experience in compound management for high-throughput screening at Vanderbilt University, where she worked first as a research assistant and then for the last 12 years as the compound management specialist. She brings knowledge and experience of key instrumentation, including some of the semi-automated equipment we are designing into our screening workflows for chemical storage and liquid handling.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Middle Tennessee State University.
