Shaligram Sharma, Ph.D., is a post-doctoral research scientist at UL Research Institutes’ Chemical Insights, focusing on environmental toxicology and PFAS exposure across various human cell types. His research includes chemical profiling of consumer fragrances, toxicity assessments of lithium-ion battery emissions, and vaping exposure studies. Sharma also conducts transcriptomic analyses to explore cellular responses to chemical exposures.
He earned his Ph.D. in Biology with a focus on molecular genetics and biotechnology from Georgia State University, along with two master’s degrees in biomedical sciences and neurobiology from Bundelkhand University and Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Gauhati University. Sharma is an active member of several professional societies and has served as a reviewer for multiple conferences.
